Course Summery

The Advanced Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics is a two-year (2400hours) training programme offered full-time to secondary five (S5) school leavers and learners from School of Advanced Level (SALs) as well as from other professional centres. This is equivalent to four (4) semesters. Two semesters represents one academic year. A learner on full time may exit after year one and qualify for the Certificate after successfully completing all the units from semesters one and two and accumulated 120 credits.

Entry Requirements in 2025 (S5 Only)

* International Examinations: IGCSE grade “E” or better in English, Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry or Design Technology

Entry Requirements in 2025 (Other Applicants)

* Candidates who have successfully completed a Certificate programme in Motor Vehicle Mechanics

or

* International Examinations IGCSE grade “E” or better in English, Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry or Design Technology

or

* Candidates who have a Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics.

or

* A Certificate holder from any other Professional centre with credit passes (70% or above) in English, Mathematics and Physics

or

* From Category 01,02,04,05,06 (on page 4 and 5)
